From Baugtua it is a nice and easy climb over Nonstind to Måtinden. You get a nice panoramic view as a reward before you either start the way back or walk towards Bleik. The town now lives mainly from tourism in the summer months. The two museums located there make an important contribution to the presentation of culture in Lofoten. Å is primarily a fishing village museum and consists of 23 buildings that are 150 years old and still in their original location. These include several rorbuer, boathouses, a smithy and a bakery as well as a blubbering plant. There is a bakery "Bakeriet på Å" and it is known for its extremely delicious cinnamon buns. They are not cheap, but they are really very tasty.

Toilets cost 20 NOK and are really clean. There is a sink with free water for washing & cleaning. The visitor center will open fall 2024, but there is a small kiosk selling snacks. It’s open on Sundays.
