Maribor's main bridge over the Drava (popularly known as the Stari Most, or Old Bridge) was built between 1909 and 1913. It replaced a previous wooden bridge a few meters further west. The Basilica of Our Lady of Mercy is one of seven basilicas in Slovenia and was the first church with this title in Austria-Hungary in 1906. It is the home church of the Maribor Franciscan monastery.
