The water flows from the lake via the approximately 500-meter-long Walchseebach stream on the eastern side into the Weißenbach stream. This stream, in turn, flows via the Kohlenbach stream into the Großache stream, which empties into Lake Chiemsee near Grabenstätt.

The Salvensee is located south of the Hohe Salve at 1575 m. In winter it supplies the water for snowmaking on the ski slopes. In summer you can take a break here during a tour and enjoy the panorama.

The Schwarzsee is a moor lake between Reith and Kitzbühel. With a temperature of up to 27 degrees, it is the warmest moor lake in Tyrol and a popular bathing lake. From here you have a wonderful view of the Kitzbüheler Horn and the Kaiser Mountains.

Very nice lake with some benches to relax.
