The artwork of canal herring, which move freely in the wind and thus appear to float through the air, is intended to commemorate the former importance of the Stecknitz River for Lübeck. Salt was transported along it from the Lüneburg graduation towers to Lübeck, where the herring were preserved.

The church is located in the middle of the cemetery, barely visible from the streets, and can be visited. The church tower provides access to the nave itself. The carving of the pulpit is particularly beautiful. The compact church building with central columns has an unusual layout, including an organ and pews.

The old town of Bad Oldesloe captivates with its historic charm and idyllic location at the confluence of the Trave and Beste rivers. Especially around Hude Square, you can still experience medieval Oldesloe, with its old buildings and winding alleys.

I prefer riding on old railway lines. The surface is perfect and always flat. :D
