Beautiful church directly above the Elbe-Lübeck Canal... you can't miss it if you cross the canal on the bridge right in front of it.

Unfortunately, I found the large church closed (on weekdays). However, there's a lovely bench in front of the church, and the old gravestones and crosses around the church are worth exploring.

...I recently cycled along this route again today, "downhill" from Niendorf. It's a really good, smooth route where you can cycle relaxed through the beautiful countryside.
