In addition to strolling around the village, you can freely visit (and for free) the anise museum, discover the old workshops, the crypt of the abbey, and end up in the shop and buy small anise candies with different flavors.

The factory has been restored in a nostalgic and fantastic museum style, and the aniseed candies are cult objects.

A medieval village with a selection of good restaurants and a beautiful abbey. If you want to visit the village you can leave the bike in the parking lot in front of the village entrance.

The small town is very well known in Burgundy. On the one hand through the film Chocolat, on the other hand through the world-famous anise factory. While the house where the film scenes were shot has since fallen into disrepair and is up for sale, the anise factory is thriving. You can smell them in the parking lot and be lured to a museum of anise tablets. Admission is free here! A very interestingly designed museum and excellent for souvenirs, plus a visit to the abbey crypt. A little walk in the village which actually has a unique charm, have a beer in the bar in the village and sit outside at the wooden tables. Finally, stop off briefly in the café at the anis factory and it's a perfect day.
