At this point, you exit the D9 and follow the road which runs along the Canal de Bourgogne. This cycle path is very long and famous. There are several places to picnic along the canal.

The Armancon dam is a truly amazing work of architecture and the trek to the top is a pleasure.

The bridge was built in 1756. It offers a magnificent view of the 14th century towers of Semur-en-Auxois. Dare I say it's worth stopping to take a photo on your run?

It is the tourist port of the Burgundy canal located in VENAREY LES LAUMES (21150). There are barges converted into homes, and license-free pleasure boats which allow you to take relaxing excursions with family or friends over several days. You can combine cycling as well as the discovery of sites and monuments that line the pretty shaded route. The passage of the locks is also a curiosity of the canal.
