A train rattles along the railway line every few minutes, and often several at once. A feast for children and train spotters, and a change of pace for hikers who have to cross the noisy Expo Bridge next door.

Immediately in the entrance area of the war cemetery is a sculpture by the expressionist sculptor Wilhelm Lehmbruck.

As of 7/2023, the botanical garden looks poorly maintained. Nevertheless, it is worth visiting it, a beautiful old stock of trees with some exotic specimens and lots of green with nice places to linger.
