I was hoping for more from the city center, nothing special. At least there was some delicious ice cream from the local ice cream parlor, good for a quick break on the bike :)

The historic market square is the heart of Memmingen's old town. Here you will also find some of the city's most striking buildings, such as the town hall, the tax house or the Grand Guild, a former ball and social hall for major merchants.

Pretty, tidy old town with lots of cosy corners, well-preserved buildings worth seeing, city wall towers etc. It is worth taking a walk through the streets, with a break in a café or beer garden.
