The Schluchsee is smaller than the Titisee further down in the valley. It is a reservoir and cannot be completely circumnavigated by bicycle. On the local side of the municipality of Schluchsee, the shore is private and part of it belongs to a clinic Also cycling ban. You have to go far away from the shore if you don't want to drive on the country road. From here it's not far to the Feldberg.

The Amalienruhe, an idyllic vantage point on the Schluchsee shore, enchants with a beautiful lake panorama. A romantic "Bellevue Pavilion" was built on this characteristic rocky outcrop when tourism at Schluchsee was still in its infancy.
