A great place to rest, with a rustic hut and plenty of space and seating. There's also a fountain, and the still-young Steina River is just a few steps away. Also suitable for families. A special feature is the old iron signpost.

The Sommerau offers excellent cuisine, which was awarded 2 Gault Millaut chef's hats in 2022/23. Reservations are usually necessary. Also a special place to stay overnight, very quiet, best service. Currently closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Riesenbühlturm, a lookout tower on the Riesenbühl, 1095.2 m above sea level, in the southern Black Forest, north of the main town of the municipality of Schluchsee. The Riesenbühlturm, which was only inaugurated on October 21, 2001, is one of the most impressive lookout towers in the Black Forest. You can climb 140 steps to the lookout platform with a great view over the Schluchsee and, in clear weather, as far as the Alps.

The Schluchsee is a beautiful lake, you can swim in it. Sometimes there is a lot of water and not much beach. But it is also easy to get around by bike!
