Auel is a picturesque little village on the Sieg River, boasting lovingly restored half-timbered houses. Strolling through it gives you a little taste of Bullerby 😊

At Stachelberg, between Hennef and Eitdorf, the Sieg River meanders in sweeping loops through lush floodplains. A well-maintained path leads directly along the Sieg, sometimes close to the bank, sometimes high on the steep bank clinging to the rocks. Everywhere you have wonderful views of the tranquil landscape, allowing you to breathe deeply and let your mind wander.

One of the two rivers that give the municipal political construct of the "Rhein-Sieg-Kreis" its name. The Sieg, which can be easily crossed on a bridge here, continues to flow towards the Rhine until it reaches its mouth near Mondorf.

A beautiful and lovingly designed trail for all ages. From the free hiking parking lot, you can access the trail directly, which is very well signposted.

A very beautiful trail above the Sieg River. You get quite close to the river in places, but in summer, you can't see much of it because of all the greenery.

"Visible from afar, high on a rocky outcrop above the Sieg River, sits the medieval Blankenberg Castle complex. A trip to the town of Blankenberg is like a journey back in time. Ruins and gate towers testify to the splendor of bygone days. The Counts of Sayn chose an excellent spot for the construction of their castle (1150–1180). On the Wildwiesenweg adventure trail you sometimes have a great view of the Siebengebirge.
