Well-preserved medieval castle at the foot of the Tollense 🙏

The Veste Landskron is a little off the beaten path on a single-lane country road. But a visit is absolutely worth it, because the ruins are comparatively very well preserved. A club takes care of the maintenance and does a great job! The castle ruins are very winding and resemble an adventure playground. There is something new to discover around every corner and one intention is more beautiful than the other. Absolutely worth seeing! 💚

The Janow manor was mentioned in a document in 1267. From 1877 onwards, the new representative manor house was built in the neoclassical style with a four-story tower that no longer exists today.

Not only a historical, interesting highlight, but also a perfect resting place. The combination of exploring and resting, plus cake, is worth a detour! If you are a bikepacker, you have the option of pitching your tent here.

The Klempenow Chapel is a half-timbered church on the edge of Klempenow Castle. It was built at the end of the 17th century and has been tilting since 2017. Significant financial resources are required to save the listed building.

The Klempenow Church is a half-timbered building from 1690 with a tower and pyramid roof. The interior with gallery, church and patronage pews is from the same time, the pulpit altar was added in 1788. In 1825 the porch was built on the south side. Due to changes in the course of the Tollense in the 20th century, problems with the building ground arose. From 1997 to 2000, after a long period of closure, the church was extensively renovated, leaving it slightly crooked. The building is now clearly out of balance and has been supported since May 2020.
