Landskron galt im Volksmund zusammen mit den benachbarten Burgen Spantekow, Klempenow und Conerow als Raubritternest. Die Herren sollen Kaufleute zwischen Anklam, Demmin, Friedland und anderen Städten überfallen haben. Besonders kurios: Sie kommunizierten angeblich mit goldenen Hörnern, die man in der Zeit Barbarossas von „türkischen“ Wachen erbeutet haben soll. Ein Turm (Hungerturm) diente der Legende nach als Gefängnis für entführte Lösegeldforderungen.

„Landgraben“이라는 이름은 직역하면 „경계 도랑“ 또는 „방어선“을 의미합니다. 이 도랑은 수 세기 동안 메클렌부르크슈트렐리츠 동부 지역의 북쪽 경계를 형성했으며, 메클렌부르크와 포메라니안(나중에는 프로이센의 포메라니안 주) 사이의 역사적 경계의 일부였습니다.

The stables are made of fieldstone with brick elements. Partly ruined, but still in use!

The Veste Landskron is a little off the beaten path on a single-lane country road. But a visit is absolutely worth it, because the ruins are comparatively very well preserved. A club takes care of the maintenance and does a great job! The castle ruins are very winding and resemble an adventure playground. There is something new to discover around every corner and one intention is more beautiful than the other. Absolutely worth seeing! 💚

The Janow manor was mentioned in a document in 1267. From 1877 onwards, the new representative manor house was built in the neoclassical style with a four-story tower that no longer exists today.
