The ruins of a medieval castle. The Raffenburg was destroyed in 1288. The climb up is not without its challenges, but you'll be rewarded with incredible panoramic views. Perhaps a picnic?

The ruins of Raffenburg on the Raffenberg lie above the Lennetal. It was one of a series of castles that were built since the 12th century to assert the power of the Archbishopric of Cologne.

This pedestrian bridge call old Hohenlimburg chain bridge. It shortened the walk from Elsey to downtown Hohenlimburg (formerly Limburg). I still know the previous bridge with wooden planks, but there were no chains to be seen. It was also used by workers for their company, e.g. Göke&Sohn (textile factory) or Bilstein (cold rolling mill). Below next to the bridge in a south-eastern direction was once the Hohenlimburg fairground. It was always nice in the 70's and 80's
