The bronze figures in Gottorf Castle in Schleswig are impressive works of art that are part of the State Museum's collection. Particularly well-known are the figures from medieval and early modern art, which often depict religious or mythological motifs. One example is the so-called "Schleswig-Holstein Figures," which are considered significant bronze sculptures. These figures are often life-size or larger and depict scenes from mythology, history, or religious traditions. They were mostly created in the 16th or 17th century and are a testament to the craftsmanship of the time.
