The cycle path around the Müritz leads me through diverse landscapes - from bee and butterfly meadows to forests where sea eagles and buzzards circle. The rippling of the water accompanies me on my tour as I enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Part of the eastern shore of the Müritz belongs to the Müritz National Park, a true treasure for anyone who wants to explore nature by bike or on foot. The well-developed cycle paths lead sometimes closer, sometimes further away from the shore and always offer fascinating views of the lake. Along the shore of the Müritz I find numerous beautiful bathing spots. Whether sandy beaches, bathing jetties or sunbathing lawns - there is something for everyone. The clear water of the Müritz invites you to swim and relax. The variety ranges from dog beaches and nudist areas to family-friendly shores with shallow water. In Waren, one of the picturesque towns on the banks of the Müritz, it is worth visiting the old town and taking a stroll through the alleys. The restaurants at the harbor offer something for every taste and are a popular meeting place to end the day.
