Wonderful panorama 🌊💙 Stamp office of the HWN 110♟️ Beautiful shelter with benches available to really enjoy what is offered here - simply wonderful ❣️🤗📸 Built in 1969, the Granetalsperre 🌊 is the youngest of the Harz reservoirs. Because the Grane river does not carry enough water for the 3 km long lake, an approx. 7.4 km long tunnel to the Oker was dug below the Okertalsperre. 😲

Four times a day, all eyes and cameras are focused on the gable of the "Kämmereigebäude" on the east side of the market square. Three little doors open and a circus of figures tells the story of mining in Rammelsberg, from the legendary discovery by the knight Ramm to modern times, accompanied by the carillon intoning mining melodies. The carillon and figure circulation were donated by Preussag in 1968 on the occasion of the 1000th anniversary of Rammelsberg mining. In addition, the morning song will sound at 8:30 a.m. and the evening song at 6:30 p.m. (without figure rotation).

The tower, located southwest of Goslar on the Steinberg (472 m above sea level), was built in 1888 as an imperial tower under the direction of the Harz Club branch association Goslar. The tower was built at this point to promote tourism, as one has a wonderful view of the Granestausee, the Rammelsberg and the Harz foreland from here. The stamp box is located directly in front of the Steinberg Tower. Another stamp box with the same HWN number 111 is also in front of the Steinbergalm.

The Steinberg Tower is definitely a highlight when the weather is nice. Located on the northern edge of the Harz, it is only a stone's throw from Goslar. The tower located at 472 meters offers a great view of the Granetalsperre and the Harz foreland. There is a lap over the Steinbergalm, where you can stop.
