Hahnenklee's local mountain has now become the town's tourist center with many attractions for families.

The Maaßener Gaipel stamping station offers several things: a great panoramic view of Lautenthal. Mining history you can touch - if you like, you can take the mining trail from Lautenthal up to Maaßener Gaipel. A stamping station of the HWN and the stamping station is also part of the Wildemanner hiking badge. And: there is also a restaurant. What more could you want?!

The Maaßener Gaipel above Lautenthal was built in 1924 by the Harz Club Lautenthal branch and was modernized and expanded in 1978. Today a great place to stop for a break with a panoramic view of Lautenthal ⚒️🎨📸 HWN stamping point ♟️

Beautiful romance, goes well with the Liebesbankweg below ❤️. But also good prices-especially for the chairlift-a shame! We found €14.50 per person for 2 hours really too much! 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏻

Alongside the Liebesbankweg, the Bocksberg is Hahnenklee's ultimate tourist attraction. And the great thing is that you can combine both, since the Liebesbankweg refuge hut, for example, is very close to the Bocksberg. You can get from the valley to the Bocksberg on foot, by bike, by chair lift or by cable car. At the top there are great views of Hahnenklee, rustic gastronomy and many tourist attractions such as a summer toboggan run, slide tower and much more for all ages.

Normally we walk or cycle up to the Bocksberg, but for the sake of the grandchildren we also came up this way once. Definitely an experience for the little ones :)

You will find the cable car valley station directly in the Hahnenkleer pedestrian zone. With our 4-seater gondolas, we transport pedestrians and tobogganists to the top of the mountain and back down again within 10 minutes. Sleds, prams, buggies and dogs can travel free of charge.
