The Römerstein is a 345 m high hill in the southern Harz. The rocky hill rises about 50 meters above the surrounding area. It is the remains of a coral reef from the Zechstein Sea that is about 250 million years old. The rock massif is made up of five rocks or groups of rocks that are close to each other

The Stöberhai, which is 731 meters high, is a bit of a challenge.

Nicely hidden in the forest you will find the Römerstein. A path leads to the small summit and since 2021 climbing has even been allowed here again. A bit below the cliff there is a somewhat outdated shelter.

The path around the Ravensberg offers a lot of beautiful views, but in winter when the sun is shining I don't want to be anywhere else. 🤗
