Alte Schwentine은 원래 이름을 부여한 Schwentine이었을 수 있습니다 – 아마도 17세기에 지도 제작 오류로 인해 강의 이름이 바뀌었을 것입니다. 오늘날 Bornhöved에서 Postsee까지 가는 길에 여러 호수를 연결하며, 한때 작센족과 슬라브족 사이의 중요한 경계선의 일부였습니다.

This small lake with a rest area and information panel is located in the Barkau region. The area formerly belonged to the monastic estate of Ahrensbök Abbey. In 1735, the village of Barkau was able to buy its freedom from serfdom. "Barkau region" is actually a made-up term coined for the association of eleven neighboring municipalities in the area.

Landhaus Neeth Dammdorf

On the way to the train station, we are reminded once again that Preetz is widely known as the "shoemaker's town." A name that dates back to the heyday of the shoemaking trade in the 19th century, when numerous shoemakers lived and worked in the town. Even though the shoe industry is no longer as dominant today, this tradition is kept alive through monuments.
