Since 2009, where ferrymen once offered their services, residents and tourists have been able to cross the river on foot or by bike using the pylon cable-stayed bridge. With a length of over 200 meters (span across the Dahme: 45 meters), a 21-meter-high pylon and a width of 2.60 meters, it is one of the largest German cycle and pedestrian bridges. It was only thanks to it that the Dahme cycle path could be realized.

A beautiful lake, whether in summer or winter, with the music of Karat in your head and a wonderful silence in your ears, always wonderful here.

A beautiful little lake in Köthener Schweiz, one shouldn't despise the other lakes either. The entire lake district is always worth a visit. Of course, Lake Köthen has the best bathing area, but those who like it can also try it here.

For me, this area around the Köthener See is the nicest change on stage 13 of the 66-lake hiking trail from Leibsch to Halbe. It could also be called "Köthener Schweiz".
