In winter, with snow and ice, this marshland has a mystical quality; the beaver dam and the trees felled by beavers add to the atmosphere. The boardwalk without railings is quite an experience in ice and snow... think penguins! 😅 In my opinion, the circular path around Lake Madlitz is not suitable for people with mobility impairments! Also, watch out for holes in the ground.

In 1806, the Protestant church was built in the classicist style to replace the burned-down medieval predecessor building. After the Second World War, it was only partially rebuilt and is now connected to a parish hall by a walkway in the current inner courtyard.

Located in the middle of town

The swamp walkway is easy to pass. Unfortunately, there are 2 fallen trees right next to each other over the bridge. For people with walking disabilities, the passage can hardly be crossed without support. Naturalness is a nice thing, but the footbridge could have been cleared a bit with 4 short saws. After all, the lake tour is advertised as an easy route.
