If you love long, straight stretches where you can really push the pace, the Eemmeerdijk is a must-ride. A top piece of tarmac for dedicated cyclists who aren’t afraid of a bit of wind. It’s the perfect place to put your watts to the test – ideal for time trial training or when you just want to hammer away without distractions. The surface is smooth and well-paved, with few cracks or potholes, and generally not too busy.

It is a viaduct. Still a nice change after all the flat roads in Flevoland. Imagine yourself on the Ventoux for ten seconds!

From the Zeewolde side you have a beautiful view over the vast Wolderwijd, one of the peripheral lakes that surround Flevoland. The wide water surface, bordered by reed beds, attracts countless water birds and offers a peaceful, expansive view. Follow the cycle paths along the banks for a ride with a view of the water, or stop at one of the beaches to enjoy nature for a while.

The heath in this area, called the Zuiderheide, used to be a communal heath where farmers grazed sheep. Now it is a beautiful nature reserve that turns purple at the end of the summer.

A beautiful cycle path that winds under the crooked branches of old trees along the Nieuwe Voorthuizerweg. This shady path offers a serene ride, where the play of light and shadow through the leaves creates an atmospheric backdrop. Ideal for a quiet bike ride, surrounded by the natural charm of the surroundings.
