Located directly on the Eifelsteig, the well-preserved Himmerod Abbey invites you to visit. The baroque abbey church is worth seeing and in the small art and bookshop you will find not only theological literature but also works by the Himmerod monks and products made especially in the abbey, such as abbey beer, monastery liqueur, mustard and honey.

Great tunnel route on the Maare-Moselle cycle path.

On the old railway line with the bike through the tunnel, just great. If you stop in the tunnel you can even spot bats.

The Plein tunnel appears: at 585 m in length, a really long tunnel! A false ceiling was put in to protect the bats, a brilliant idea. (It's a shame that this was not implemented in the Milseburg tunnel in the Rhön).
