This forest road is a convenient access route to Wasigenstein Castle by gravel bike. It's easy to ride even in late autumn and has only a very gentle incline. A wide forest road on the sunny side of the hill offers beautiful views.

The ruins sit imposingly on their freestanding sandstone plinth. Steps carved into the rock allow you to explore the former castle complex and enjoy the view of the Palatinate Forest.

Lembach plays an important role in the history and culture of the Sauer Valley. The small town in the Northern Vosges Regional Nature Park is home to major works such as the Maginot Line lime kiln, the famous Fleckenstein castle, its tile factory and its mill. A must-see visit to understand the history of the valley.

The Fleckenstein is a very beautiful swimming pond. It is also possible to eat at the restaurant next to the beach. Entrance is free and you can have a large free car park right next to it.
