    The Wegelnburg on the 572 meter high Sindelsberg is the highest castle in the Palatinate. By nature, the ridge with its steeply sloping edges was hard to take. The castle was built around 1200 and first mentioned in 1246. Latest research on the following, she was one of the largest castles in the Palatinate. There are still some rock chambers, some with arched doors and rectangular window openings. Furthermore, there are still some Gothic door vestments and a well shaft.
