It's also worth it if it's (still) foggy in the valley. There's a bench right on the rock and two more further up.

From Wernersberg, the Wachtfels is quickly accessible via a steep zigzag path. The Wachtfels can be climbed at any time of year and it always offers an overwhelming panoramic view. If you venture up to the cross, it offers a panoramic view: To the east over Trifels, Anebos and Scharfeneck, to the south the deep view over Wernersberg and in the background the Geierstein to the west you can see the Runden Hut in the forest. Anyone in the Palatinate should definitely come here. However, anyone planning to come here by mountain bike should also be able to ride it and not blame Komoot.

Beautiful shelter at a crossroads. Lots of options for moving on. Good place to take a break with a group and have something to eat.

A beautiful tower with great all-round visibility, perfect for taking photos at sunset or sunrise, even at night. Don't forget the tripod. The paths are easy to walk on even at night, but the path is not recommended at night.
