Where the Saar and Moselle meet The Moselle and Saar originate in France and meet in Konz after a long journey through varied landscapes. With a length of 1,200 meters, a maximum width of 400 meters and a capacity of 1.5 million cubic meters of water, the lake covers an area of 31.1 hectares. It was inaugurated on April 28, 1974 and handed over to its intended use. A modern campsite and an eco-village with comfortable wooden houses, as well as an integrated swimming pool, complement the tourist function of the reservoir. With its water sports opportunities and hiking and jogging on a four-kilometer-long circular path, it has already been the destination of millions of visitors.
