There is a shelter at the Hirtenfels. From there you have a great view of the surroundings and the Palatinate Forest. Right next to it is the Kosakenfels.

Beautiful sculpture with information board. The sculptures make the path even more attractive.

The Hirtenfels with its 630m above sea level is well integrated into a beautiful hiking tour from Dannenfels over the Adlerbogen and Ludwigsturm. From the summit of the Hirtenfels you have a wonderful view of the Palatinate.

If you hike on the Donnersberg, from the Adlerbogen, you will reach a beautifully laid out Celtic sculpture path. You pass a total of 13 stations, which are explained in detail by information boards. I recommend the route between Adlerbogen and Ludwigsturm past the ring wall, which is a good circular hike.

The Celts were the first to work on iron processing. In order to transport the pig iron, it was cast in the form of double-pointed ingots. This special shape was intended to prevent the load from slipping, e.g. on boats. The sculpture of the star is intended to represent these double-pointed bars. Without the information board, the "work of art" could hardly be discovered.

Gigantic view. And I don't find the many wind turbines disturbing either. At least nicer than KKW's.
