Oystercatchers, curlews, and shelducks dance over the salt marshes, while the melodies of songbirds waft through the sea buckthorn bushes. Here, in this living picture of nature, every wing beat whispers stories of distant lands and native shores.

The grey seal has been reintroduced to our region for about 20 years. On Borkum, they can be observed particularly well on the seal bank (a nature reserve), which has moved ever closer to the northern beach and the former main beach in recent years.
