The Helmbrechts eco-station has been awarded the “Environmental Education Bavaria” quality seal. Highlights of the offer are the underwater station, where you can actually observe large and small pond dwellers underwater, the flock of the rare “East Prussian Skudden” sheep and the woodpecker tower. The 13-hectare outdoor area includes wet meadows, ponds and streams. The ecologically valuable areas are home to a large variety of birds, insects and plants. Everyone can find out about the local flora and fauna here.
