The Bannetze lock is located in Winsen / Aller in the district of Bannetze. More precisely, in the lock canal at km 0.490. The Bannetze lock was built in the course of regulating the Aller from 1909 to 1912. Like the other Aller locks in Oldau, Marklendorf and Hademstorf, which were built in the same way, it has a usable chamber length of 159 m and a usable width of 10 m. 6 m wide and, depending on the water level, max. 2.5 m draft as well as a carrying capacity of up to 650 t. Freight shipping was operated until about 1969. Today the Aller is a popular leisure area that is used by passenger and sport shipping.

Located in the north of Hanover, nature lovers and those who want to swim will find an ideal area for their leisure time at Lake Altwarmbüchener. The lake is 48 hectares in size. Created artificially at the time, nature has now reclaimed much of it.

The 45.5 hectare lake was created in the 1980s as part of the expansion of the so-called "Moorautobahn". The sandy beach in the west with service buildings and adjacent playgrounds and lawns is traditionally completely overcrowded - which is why the lake is often referred to as the "Riviera of Hanover". However, the further east you go, the quieter, closer to nature and more idyllic the shore becomes. Despite the hustle and bustle, the Altwarmbüchener See is ideal for hiking and nature observation. In the Waldkater you can celebrate well, but also have a quick drink. E bike charging station, bouncy castle and swing for children. Very nice place in the forest.

Nice 3,5 kilometers around the lake. Lot of runners and bikers doing there round and getting up there fitenss

A very pretty lake, whether on foot, by bike or for swimming. Early in the morning it is pretty empty and you can enjoy many corners alone!

Wonderful lake, preferably when the weather is mixed, it is not so crowded :-) You can also swim. There is also a dog beach and mini golf.
