Bückeburg is a charming small town. Castle with park, town church, mausoleum, helicopter museum must be seen.

Wonderful old town! The museum and castle are truly worth seeing. Definitely recommended as a stopover on a longer tour.

The town hall, built in 1607/8, had to give way to a new building with a large city theater in 1905/6. Architect Alfred Sasse provided this mighty building with a variety of historicizing elements. The court orchestra played at the inauguration under the direction of court music director Professor Richard Sahla (1855–1931). The new building took place during the term of office of Mayor Wilhelm Külz (1875–1948), who, as President of the Schaumburg-Lipp State Parliament, designed a city order that was extremely modern at the time and later emerged as a Saxon politician.
