The Prinz-Rupprechtturm (Prince Rupprecht Tower) is a 14-meter-high observation tower belonging to the @Fichtelgebirgsverein e.V. (Fichtel Mountain Association) on the 596-meter-high Wolfenberg mountain. It offers a beautiful view of the Hof region to the north, especially when the leaves aren't on the trees. Otherwise, it's unfortunately heavily overgrown. This is unsightly, but unfortunately, due to the property ownership situation, it can't be remedied. Those who want to look out into the countryside to the east and south can walk or cycle along the dirt road on the southern slope of the Wolfenberg towards Köslar.

Until recently, there was an observation platform here. It has since been demolished, probably because it was in such a state of disrepair. Now only the symbolic gallows remains.

Even without a view, a good photo motif with an information notice.

Beautiful 19 m high observation tower with a great view of the surrounding area, a panoramic window makes orientation easier. In the Middle Ages there was a watchtower here, the construction of the observation tower in its present form took place in 1925. At the tower there is a restaurant with a beautiful beer garden, the staff is "Franconian grumpy".

The observation tower is not recommended. It is totally overgrown and offers practically no view.

If you are on the KU23 you can make a detour to the Galgenberg. It's worth it, the view is beautiful up here, there is an information board for Galgenberg and a small observation tower, which unfortunately cannot be climbed because it is in danger of collapsing.

Old place of execution of the Kupferberg office. The local high court probably existed since 1340, the field name Galgenberg has been handed down since 1396. Since that time, Kupferberg had the supreme jurisdiction or the "Fraischgericht" for maleficent crimes. As a rule, the death penalty was imposed for capital crimes, i.e. murder or manslaughter, but also for aggravated theft or robbery. The Bamberg Neck Court Rules applied. The gallows were last renewed in 1694. A replica stands here today as a somewhat macabre reminder.

A relatively quiet corner with little public traffic. Unfortunately, the tower is built on leasehold land. Thus, the Fichtelgebirge Association has no influence on the surrounding forest and the rather sparse view from the tower.
