Heidjer Bridge Year of construction of the first bridge: 1984 Replacement construction in: 2023 Total span: 74.4 m The "Heidjer Bridge" is part of the road connection between the Zevener Sonnenkamp and the town of Offensen. It spans the Oste lowland in the area of a historic ford at the same location. The first permanent bridge connection at this location was built in 1984, the so-called "Heidjer Bridge". Due to the poor structural condition and the first bridge structure, the municipality of Heeslingen and the city of Zeven built a joint replacement construction in 2023. For this purpose, they received grants to promote integrated rural development (ZILE) from the Lower Saxony Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection.

One of the largest historic water mills in Lower Saxony The Scheeßel watermill has been around for 500 years. Cared for, restored and cared for by the Scheeßer Mühle e.V. association since 2003. The mill is recognized as a technical monument. On the German Mill Day (annually on Whit Monday) the mill is put into operation and can be visited. On the day of the open monument, an arts and crafts market takes place in the mill.
