Very flat path without major intersections with other traffic

This bridge is closed to pedestrians and cyclists (as of January 25, 2025) and there is no longer any possibility to walk over it and of course it is not stated anywhere how long or why this bridge is closed but obviously it is said to be dilapidated in other words all walks that include this bridge are invalid until further notice

The imposing castle in Nossen is visible from afar. Information: This Renaissance building was constructed on the site of an older medieval castle. The impressive castle complex sits on a rocky promontory overlooking the Freiberger Mulde valley. It acquired its final form with the completion of the gate tower (1682) and the construction of the stone castle bridge (1714).

Halsbrücke Boat Lift. Information: Built in 1788/89 in the Halsbrücke area, this boat lift is the first structure of its kind in the world. From here, ore barges were towed (pulled) to the Halsbrücke ironworks. The structure was in operation until 1868. It was then reconstructed in 1988.
