The Witches' Tower is one of the preserved towers of the former city fortifications. Next to the Witches' Tower is the oldest half-timbered house in Babenhausen; it was built in 1484.

The name is wrong here. The “Breschturm” got its name from the fact that a cannon ball closed a hole in the tower during an attack on Babenhausen. This created a “breech”.

The Witches' Tower is located directly on the historic city wall.

The view along the old city wall is simply great. The old town and the old city wall, most of which are still preserved, impressed me the most anyway.

The Hexenturm is one of the landmarks of Babenhausen and was formerly called the Mühlturm, because it is right next to the city mill on the city wall. It is one of the two defensive towers still in existence in the city, the other is the breach tower. The allegedly oldest house in Babenhausen is located next to the Witches Tower. An inscription dates it to the year 1442.
