The Roman tower is located on the Pulverberg in Sayn-Bendorf and is part of the LIMES UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was reconstructed as a watchtower with palisades in 1912 by route commissioner Georg Loeschcke of the Reich Slim Commission. A monument was erected to him on the ascent path. There is a wonderful view of Bendorf-Sayn, the Rhine and the Giant Mountains.

Beautiful pilgrimage church! However, the ascent from below from the valley of Isenburg is very difficult and steep. My recommendation: run from Anhausen there. It's a lot more relaxed.
