The famous trade route, the Cologne-Leipzig road, once led over this historic monastery bridge. Coming from Altenkirchen, the route led from Kroppach through a ford across the Nister near Heuzert to Marienstatt Abbey and on via Hachenburg to Kirburg and finally to Leipzig.

The Dreifelder Weiher is one of the largest ponds in the Westerwald Lake District in the Westerwald. Absolutely worth seeing! From here you can hike, bike, or do other sports, the paths around the various ponds are ideal and entertaining!

A nice old bridge to many sights.

The ascent to the "summit" is worth it - the path is very beautiful, natural and the view from above is simply fantastic - as is the entire World Heritage nature trail. Good shoes and especially good surefootedness in wet weather are advantageous ;-).
