The Eichtalpark is a public park of approximately 7.5 hectares in the Hamburg district of Wandsbek. It stretches along the Wandse between Kedenburgstraße in the west and Bei der Hopfenkarre in the east. It is bordered to the north by Walddörferstraße and to the south by Ahrensburger Straße.[1]

I just wanted to get from HH HafenCity to Reinbek, a trail that goes through horrible industrial areas in Hamburg and Reinbek via Goggle Maps, and was surprised at how beautiful the Komoot trail was. Mostly green, water and nature reserve, few roads and only one really ugly spot.

The hiking trail is frequented by many pedestrians and free-roaming dogs - at least on weekends and public holidays. Cycling is possible, but you have to be very careful. Conflicts with dog owners not excluded. Still a very nice way.

There is no such thing as a "Red Elbe", at most Dove and Goose Elbe. In the "picturesque" Eichbaumsee there has been an absolute bathing ban due to blue-green algae for almost 10 years

The Eichbaumsee is picturesquely located directly on the Dove Elbe in Hamburg's Allermöhe district. The hiking trails and parks around the lake invite you to hike, stroll and relax. At Eichbaumsee you will find a lot of nature and space to breathe deeply from the city bustle. You can picnic here, lie in the sun on the beach or go for a walk with your dog, which is sometimes even allowed to run free here. Always a great sight ... on the way to Vier- und Marschlande or just coming from there. Attention: part of the (racing) bike path ... there is a lot going on here in summer - no inclines, little traffic, sometimes large groups

The wooden harbor was built from 1722 to 1724 and is considered the oldest preserved, artificial harbor facility in Hamburg. Immediately to the west was Germany's most important fishing port at the turn of the century: the Altona fishing port.
