Two dials of the tower clock are attached to the east and west side of the old gate. The hands on the large dials show the hour, the hands on the small dials the quarter hours. The old gate forms the end of Maximilianstraße opposite the cathedral.

The Schwetzingen Palace Square is very beautiful. There is always something going on here, due to the castle and the beautiful pubs, beer gardens and cafés around. It's also great that the cars also have to drive at a walking pace.

From Domplatz you can see the west facade of the cathedral and Maximilianstraße. Very nice!

Lots of opportunities to sit outside and have something to eat or drink. During the season, stalls offer asparagus for sale. In Advent, the Christmas market is recommended.
