The seven wind turbines on Galgenberg (381 m) in Chemnitz-Rabenstein are visible from afar. On Galgenberg in the Rabenstein district is a wind farm consisting of seven wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 10,600 kilowatts (kW). Four turbines with a capacity of 2,000 kW each have been in operation since 2010, and three additional turbines with capacities of 600 kW and 1,000 kW each were erected in 2001. In the Middle Ages, people searched for ore here, but apparently nothing was found. The name of the hill, Totenstein (Dead Stone), probably comes from the dead rock. Today, the protected and rare luminous moss grows in the tunnels.

Once around the crest, a beautiful single trail leads through the forest. I recommend turning north onto Beutenbergweg and then left at the next junction into the forest. Nice flow. Always something to climb and maybe even a tree across. But a lot of fun.
