A visit to Buxtehude's old town is always beautiful and interesting at the same time 👍🏼.

Buxtehude offers a bicycle station in the center of town. Minor repairs can be performed here. Lockers for helmets are also available. Those who want to explore Buxtehude's old town on foot can park their bikes here. The town boasts many beautiful sights and restaurants. Various festivals are also held throughout the year. In the Rosengarten state forest, 1750 m west of the forestry office, on a hill above a steep ridge of terrain stands the Karlstein, a mighty, medium-coarse reddish-gray granite (>1.9 x 2.5 x 2.2 m), which has been astonishing for centuries excited. It was less the size of the stone than the deep grooves and the “imprints” of horseshoes that aroused interest early on. Stones with horseshoe symbols can be found in various places. The next stone was in Regesbostel, Harburg district. Worth remembering are the Rosstrappe in the Harz and the Bickelstein near Wittingen. There is currently no objective explanation for these signs. Imposing stone that lies in the middle of the Heidschnuckenweg. Easy to reach from the parking lot. But it can also be integrated very well into Waderungen, since the path leading there and back is very beautiful.

This corner is a special highlight on the Heidschnuckenweg.
