The small former fishing village of Hohwacht has a very special attraction: right on the main beach there is a unique sea platform - the so-called "Hohwachter Flunder". It owes its unusual name to its unique shape, which is reminiscent of a flatfish. With its 24-meter-high steel pylon, which can be seen from afar, the pier has now become the most popular landmark of the Baltic Sea spa town of Hohwacht.

The protected inland port of Lippe lies between Hohwacht and Behrensdorf, the Great Inland Lake and the Baltic Sea. It is one of the most original harbors along the coast. The port has 210 berths, including places for guest boaters. In addition to the beautiful natural beach, there is also a campsite with a kiosk.
