Breathtaking view of the vast dam.

There's always something going on at Schloss Burg. It is a tourist magnet because the building can be visited. The Bergisch Tafel attracts cyclists with delicacies in the neighboring restaurants. Or you can take a seat in one of the beer gardens and take a short stop here.

There is evening sun with a wide view over the water to the west on the VORSPERRE of the Great Dhünn in the middle of the lake.

Burg Castle towers 110 meters high above the Wupper, and the defiant keep can be seen from far away. Inside there are massive walls, huge archways, narrow streets, narrow courtyards and sunny terraces. The barrier - the barrier structure The dam in the south of Solingen is one of the oldest drinking water dams in Germany. In 1903 it was inaugurated. In the meantime, she supplies all parts of the blade city with the increasingly valuable liquid. The mighty quarry stone dam (43 meters high above the foundation level, 178 meters long) can hold around three million cubic meters of water.
