It's not a lookout tower, but I find it interesting. You find it next to the road near Waldemeine. Because there are a lot of trees and bushes around the tower, it's not easy to see it. The path is also a bit overgrown. It's not that easy to get there by bike. You can't go up the tower because there's no door.

The round tower, built from rubble stones, has a high entrance, now walled up, and several loopholes. The remaining tower ruins are listed as historical monuments. The exact age is unknown. It was probably built in the second half of the 15th century as a watchtower for the Salzufler Landwehr. With the help of light and smoke signals, the city could be warned early about approaching enemies. Probably in 1632, during the Thirty Years' War, the tower was destroyed in an attack and has remained in ruins since then.
