The highest point of the Paderborn city area is in the Neuenbeken district and is 347 m high. And he has a summit cross! ... Next door there is a seating area for resting after the ascent 😄

At the highest point in Paderborn you can take a break and let the sun shine on your face. There are several seating options and an information board on the Paderborner Höhenweg. The summit cross used to stand in the middle of the forest, today you can look far into the distance and the nearby wind turbines. The trees around the summit cross were felled. Here, too, the spruce trees fell victim to the bark beetle.

Roots and stones form perfect stages. The path is demanding, but manageable. This pine scent is wonderful.

The ridge path with a tower and beautiful paths and large heather areas ... always worth a trip, even in winter! The ascent is a bit demanding for lowland Tyroleans ... but you can do it too :-)
