The Exterseine are always worth a visit. The high rock formation can also be climbed. There are stairs leading up.

The Externsteine are worth a visit at any time of the year. They were my playground 40 years ago, less than 15 minutes from home. In winter we could go ice skating here and in summer we built tippis in the forest and looked for fire salamanders
