It's a challenging bike ride to this hut, but you get what you pay for. Fantastic mountain views. A lovely place to rest for a while, and they have delicious dishes on the menu.

On the trail section to the left of the hut, towards the transmitter, there is now a driving ban, but you don't really miss much...........

The Thaler Kogel (1,656 m) belongs to the Hochschwab group and is something of an insider tip among the mountains with great views. There is no hut, but there is a beautiful summit cross, a great view and two benches with tables. You can climb it from several directions.

Open on weekends even in winter! Very nice and hospitable! There isn't much of a vegetarian choice - I got cheese dumplings with sauerkraut and that was very good.
